Peru State College (Peru, NE)

Peru State’s “Campus of a Thousand Oaks,” a member of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, is nestled in the hills of historic southeast Nebraska on the Missouri River. The College offers a mix of innovative online and traditional classroom undergraduate and graduate programs, including online graduate degrees in education and organizational management. Nebraska’s first college, has transformed over the past century and a half into a state-of-the-art institution offering diverse, multifaceted educational programs to around 2,400 students. Southeast Community College

Southeast Community College is a public institution of higher education serving the 15-county area of southeast Nebraska. SCC awards the Associate of Applied Science degree, Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Science degree, the Diploma, and Certificate. SCC has a tremendous reputation with employers, both local and regional. More than 90 percent of SCC graduates find work or transfer to a four-year college or university. SCC also is one of the most affordable higher education options in Nebraska. To provide residents within its 15-county area greater access to higher education, SCC is opening learning centers in Falls City, Hebron, Nebraska City, Plattsmouth, Wahoo, and York. SCC has full-service campus locations in Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford.

Southeast Community College Training Solutions can offer training at the business site.  Online training options and e-learning courses are also available.  Most industry and trades classes can be customized to meet the specific needs of an individual company. Collectively the Training Solutions team has over 65 years of experience in designing, developing and delivering customized training programs.

Southeast Community College (Beatrice campus), offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Agriculture, Business & Management Technology.  This “hands on” program has 265 students enrolled in one of six focus areas: Livestock, Agribusiness, Crops, Diversified Agriculture, Golf Turfgrass Management and Horticulture.  Also available is a Certificate in Precision Agriculture. The students conduct their lab work on the college’s 500-acre farm, which includes working with swine, cattle, sheep, goats and horses.  Approximately 80 percent of program graduates enter careers within the six focus areas, while 20 percent transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

Southeast Community College (SCC)  plays a key role in providing initial training programs for your workers and assist with ongoing customized training as needed. Overall SCC offers more than 50 programs of study and partners with area high schools and educational service units to offer a Career Academy program which helps high school students link to college programs of study earlier on and receive college credits while in high school.

Southeast Community College (York Campus) will be opening a York Regional Learning Center campus in 2016.  This campus will be focused on industry and business needs, and will offer a variety of credit and non-credit classes. In 2016, task forces will be taking a deeper look into healthcare, trades and industry, logistics, and soft skills for additional program development.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln

UNL is just a forty minute drive north of Beatrice.  UNL, chartered in 1869, is an educational and research university of international stature.  The University of Nebraska – Lincoln is one of the nation’s leading teaching institutions, and a research leader with a wide array of grant-funded projects aimed at broadening knowledge in the sciences and humanities.  UNL’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources provides a student-focused, science-based educational environment preparing students to participate in solving the world’s great challenges.  UNL along with the Nebraska Innovation Campus is a wonderful asset to our area.  The Nebraska Innovation Campus (NIC) is connecting the talents of experts, companies and the university to create a unique culture of innovation.  NIC is a research campus designed to facilitate new and in-depth partnerships between the University of Nebraska and private sector businesses.

York College (York, NE)

York, Nebraska is home to York College, a private liberal arts college founded in 1890 affiliated with the Churches of Christ. York College, which offers 25 Bachelors Degree programs and 9 pre-professional degree programs, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Nebraska Independent College Foundation. The York College Panthers compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II and the National Christian College Athletic Association. Besides sports teams, the college also offers students a wide variety of extracurricular activities.

Concordia University (Seward, NE)

Concordia University – Nebraska is located in Seward, Nebraska. Founded in 1894 by The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Concordia University – Nebraska is a private, coeducational institution of higher learning. Currently, they have over 2,600 students enrolled in more than 70 undergraduate and graduate programs with approximately 1,200 undergraduate students on the Seward campus.

Doane College (Crete, NE)

Doan offers undergraduate, adult and graduate students a world-class liberal arts and sciences education.  Doane College with is 140 year history,  is known for leadership in higher education, grounded in the college’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, community and a sense of place for the individual.  There are 64 areas of study    with accreditation for teaching, post-secondary education and nursing.
