State Senator Adam Morfeld thinks Nebraska can be a better democracy.
The senator representing northeast Lincoln founded the non-profit Nebraskans for Civic Reform in 2008. Morfeld says his organization tries to create a more modern and robust democracy for Nebraskans, and they do that by targeting youth.
“Our programs are focused on youth identifying issues in their community and teaching them in a hands-on way how to tackle issues and what those governmental structures are,” Morfeld said.
