Gov. Ricketts Highlights Unemployment Rate Milestone
18 Sep 2017
Governor Pete Ricketts and the Nebraska Department of Labor announced Nebraska’s unemployment rate reached 2.8 percent in July, the lowest rate since August of 2000.
“This major jobs milestone is another great example of how Nebraska is growing,” said Governor Ricketts. “This year, we’ve already seen over $1 billion of new investment from great job creators like Costco, Facebook, Cargill, and others. My team continues to develop new strategies to grow new opportunities to keep Nebraska the best place in the world to live, work, and raise a family.”
Nebraska is tied for fourth best unemployment rate in the nation with New Hampshire.
