Nebraska Innovation Campus to add building with modern business space
24 Sep 2017
Nebraska Innovation Campus will be adding a new building to its 2.2 million-square-foot campus. The three-story structure will be available for multiple tenants so the campus can continue to grow and develop.
The main goal of this building is to create a modern business space, according to Kate Engel, director of Communication & Culture at NIC. Tetrad Property Group manages the construction activity and buildings of Innovation Campus, and according to director of operations Josh Berger, the structure will have many different features designed to build a community within the building.
“We’re trying to design something that’s distinctive, that’s interesting to the millennial workforce and a recruiting tool for companies wanting to grow in Lincoln and on NIC,” Berger said.
The building will feature a planned business incubator, space for collaboration purposes and a community garden, along with space for outdoor activities. Additionally, the building will include a building-wide kitchenette that will allow all companies in the building to interact with each other.
