Falls City Artist Association Re-Starts Downtown Gallery
15 Dec 2017
The Falls City Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the city’s newest, artist-owned gallery.
The Falls City Area Artist Association had a decision to make after Christina’s Art Gallery announced it would close after three years.
Local artist and teacher Tootie Ebel said the art gallery had proven itself a viable part of the downtown business environment, so she encouraged members of the artist association to take it over.
The gallery at 1604 Stone Street has been a part of the arts culture of Falls City for nearly a decade. Ebel will continue to teach her weekly art classes and other art workshops are planned.
Art on display includes oil, water-color and acrylic paintings, as well as prints, photos and woodworking.
Local artists include Avis Bailey, Patricia Joy, Pat Steinman, Mary Little, Kent Dorste and Patricia Joy.
