He arrived in Nebraska by chance but has stayed here by choice.
As a young boy growing up in Tajikistan, a Central Asian country that was part of the former Soviet Union, Kush Abdulloev wanted to come to the United States to grab his opportunity to live the American Dream.
At age 16, Kush shared his dream with his parents, and his dad spent his savings and helped Kush travel to the United States, where he would stay with a family in Colorado and attend high school. What happened next was a twist of fate that landed Kush in Lincoln, Nebraska.
