A cut above

Spring is upon us, and as temperatures rise more and more, Gage County residents take to their patios and porches to get out of the kitchen and fire up the grill.

Nothing says “grilling” quite like a steak.

And whatever your cut, Justin’s Neighborhood meats has you covered.

Justin Scheele started the business nearly two years ago.

He said it’s always been a dream of his to open a shop, and he started the business after several years in management.

“I used to cut meat when I was going to college,’ he said. “I really enjoyed it and after college I went to work for Walmart in management for 15-16 years. I kind of always wanted to get back into doing meat and owning my own shop is kind of a dream I had anyway from when I was a meat cutter.”

Justin’s Neighborhood Meats offers customers a wide variety of items, with a list of weekly specials. Scheele has four employees, and added his family also helps at the business.
