Gage County Tourism awards announced

Three awards were presented in recognition of tourism efforts over the last year.
Gage County Tourism held its annual awards luncheon at the Odell Community Center. During the event, attendees were updated on community and tourism efforts, while awards were given in three categories.
The best publication award was presented to the Great Plains Welsh Heritage Project, the best event award went to the Governor’s Pheasant Hunt and the friend of tourism award was presented to Tom Bardsley.
Lisa Wiegand, Gage County Tourism Director, said Bardsley was selected as the friend of tourism because of his dedication to the annual Hoopla basketball tournament.
