Pop-Up Senior Center

Fillmore Senior Services recently announced the launching of its first pop-up senior center in Milligan on June 15. A pop-up senior center is a way to bridge the gap to communities that do not have a senior center site of their own.
On June 15, the community of Milligan was the host site of our first pop-up event called “Carousel of Life." This event was from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Milligan Public Library. Plans are to hold events like the one in June once every four months bringing a different line-up of activities and services each time.
What you can expect to find at our Carousel of Life pop-up senior center event is bone density testing (free for anyone age 60 and over), nutrition information specifically for older adults and especially if you live alone, fall prevention information and the ability to sign up for a fall prevention class that would be held in Milligan for those interested.
