College of Business sees increasing enrollment, adds hands-on learning experiences

The College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln experienced an increase in enrollment this fall.
Over 4,000 new students enrolled in the college, including 839 first-time freshmen. It is also home to 3,918 undergraduate business majors, 544 graduate students and more than 1,000 non-business students who are pursuing a business minor, according to the College of Business website.
The College of Business provides more learning spaces and high-tech classrooms to ensure students have a valuable learning experience, such as the Husker Lab and the Trading Room.
The Husker Lab gives students opportunities to get hands-on experience managing a business store. The Trading Room is a hypothetical stock trading room for finance students to practice a real-life examples of trading stocks, to use Bloomberg Terminals and to analyze market data used by most big brokerage houses and investment banks.
