Assessment of property is complete, says YCDC director

YORK – York County Development Corporation Director Lisa Hurley, along with city officials, have announced that the “comprehensive diligence report” for the city’s newest industrial site has been complete.

And with that report comes a list of target businesses that would likely be good fits for the 34-acre site located south of 25th Street and west of Division Avenue.

This is the newest industrial development site to be acquired by the city. It was purchased by the city in 2015, as the original industrial park is now pretty much filled with private businesses, as well as some public facilities.

“Olsson Associated performed a property assessment and due diligent research on the site, the purpose being to review existing property features, identify existing transportation and utility infrastructure and to analyze the property’s readiness and limitations for industrial development,” Hurley explained. “This also is to create a master plan for the site and to identify the appropriate targets for the site and community.”

She acknowledged there was a “team effort approach of YCDC, the city of York, and all our utility partners in working with Olsson Associates to complete the plan.”
