Perennial Public Power and Bluestem Energy Solutions Hold Groundbreaking

Perennial Public Power and Bluestem Energy Solutions held an official groundbreaking on November 3rd for the Fillmore County Wind Farm just west of Fairmont along U.S. Highway 6 where one of the three wind towers will be located. The Fillmore County Wind Farm will have a 6.9 MW distribution. Construction activities started over a year ago and the proposed commercial operation date is slated for the first quarter in 2018. Perennial will be purchasing all of the energy from the facility according to Jamey Pankoke, general manager of Perennial Public Power.
