With a bright yellow Runza cup in-hand, Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer made a quick appearance in Beatrice to lead an economic development roundtable at the Carnegie Building.
The invitation-only roundtable had representatives from Beatrice Public Schools, Worldlawn Power Equipment, Neapco, E Energy Adams, the Gage County Board of Supervisors, the Beatrice Chamber of Commerce, NGage, Southeastern Community College, Precise Fabrication, Beatrice Community Hospital and the city of Beatrice seated around the long conference table in the Carnegie, asking questions of Fischer.
“I want to know what is going on in your community,” Fischer told the group. “The successes you've had, the challenges you're facing and any good ideas that you've had to help rural Nebraska to continue to grow and develop.”
