YORK – Following a number of community conversations, a visitation and a survey, consultants will now be presenting their findings and recommendations regarding a downtown revitalization project.
Clark Enersen representatives presented their findings during a public meeting scheduled Thursday, June 15, at 5 p.m., at the AseraCare meeting room located at 401 North Lincoln Avenue.
This project started with the award of a $30,000 grant for Phase 1. This phase (in which the city is currently) includes the completion of a pre-development study to define specific desired outcomes with goals and action steps for improvements in the downtown.
Funds for Phase 2 will only be awarded upon the successful completion of requirements in Phase 1.
The Phase 2 maximum grant amount is $350,000. To receive this grant, a 25 percent match is required by the community.
